对于国内访问学者申请来美国比较关心的英语问题，做一个简单分析，美国不同的高校对待英语有不同的要求，明尼苏达大学对英语的要求相对比较宽松。要想拿到DS2019表，必须符合英语的要求，明尼苏达大学对英语的要求只要满足以下几种的一种即可。

1.托福

2.雅思

3.PETS5

4.国内出国集训

5.英语面试

6.在美国获得本科或者硕士或者博士学位

主要是这几种，其中我们比较关系的是PETS5是否承认，国内出国培训的成绩，以及英语面试。

As of January 5th， 2015， all J-1 applicants are required by the U.S. government to fulfill a measurement of English language proficiency. This is the U of M form and guidelines for prospective J-1 scholars to be included with the ISSS Prospective J-1 Scholar application. 其中第一条中的第9和10分别是承认中国组织的考试。第10条应该是国内组织的英语集训。

以上供参考，明尼苏达大学的英语要求目前看来在美国高校中算较为低的，并不一定非要面试。当然没有英语成绩是需要面试的。
